Master Driver for CPC Consortium

The Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is a European Union wide Training Directive which is being introduced "to maintain high driving standards and improve road safety".

RTITB has monitored the development and introduction of the Driver CPC Directive since the late 1990s. The Master Driver Assessment programme was introduced in 2000 and subsequent developments have resulted in the introduction of Master Driver for CPC. Those developments were showcased to the road transport industry in March 2008 and following very positive feedback and fine tuning, Master Driver for Driver CPC was again put before the critical eye of industry experts at Pre-launch Briefing sessions during the latter part of 2008 and throughout 2009.
