WHERE WE TRAIN

Although we can be flexible we generally provide training on your own premises, subject to machinery meeting current safety standards and the site being able to meet the necessary standards as laid down by the appropriate accrediting body.

WHO WE TRAIN

We can train individuals or small groups for small, medium and large companies. We train novices who have never sat on a machine. We also train more experienced operators looking to add categories or refresh existing skills.

COSTS & PAYMENT

Our training course costs are calculated according to what you have requested by phone or email. We aim to keep our prices fair and competitive with other providers within the industry.

For private individuals a 50% deposit payment must be made prior to the course by following the link we send with your quote. The balance is payable no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the course.

Our courses all comply with HSE guidelines – each course is specific to the category but

  • Course Introduction and Induction
  • Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Site Safety Area Hazards and Risk Assessment
  • Operatives Responsibilities including PPE and Safe Working Loads
  • Lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations 1998
  • Provision  Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
  • Approved Code of Practice
  • Operator Safety Code and Observation
  • Pre-start Checks/Assessment
  • Defect Reporting Procedures
  • Attaching and settling a range of implements (where relevant)
  • Truck stability – engineering principles and weight assessment
  • Driving within Simulated Working Conditions
  • Manoeuvring Skills
  • Hydraulic system and use of the controls
